Cat’s Favourite Wood Pellet Cat Litter

Keep your cat’s litter tray fresh and comfortable with Cat’s Favorite Wood Pellet Cat Litter. Made from 100% naturally compressed wood fibres, these absorbent pellets provide a practical alternative to traditional mineral and clay-based cat litter.

The wood fibres are sourced from recycled material and by-products of the wood-processing industry, helping make use of material that might otherwise go to waste. The litter is FSC Recycled certified and supplied in a sturdy paper bag with a convenient carrying handle.

When exposed to moisture, the pellets absorb liquid and help contain everyday litter-tray odours. Their high absorbency means only a relatively shallow layer is required,

The natural pellet format is designed not to stick heavily to the base of the litter tray, making full litter changes and cleaning more manageable. It is also described by the manufacturer as virtually dust-free, making it a useful option for homes looking to reduce the loose dust associated with some traditional litter types.

Litter type

This is a natural wood-pellet litter.

It is not marketed as a traditional clumping litter. As the pellets absorb urine and moisture, they may soften and gradually break down rather than forming the firm scoopable clumps associated with bentonite or tofu litter.

Remove solid waste regularly and replace wet or broken-down litter as necessary.

Composition

100% naturally compressed recycled wood fibres.

The pellets are produced from residual material generated by the wood-processing industry. No fragrance or added chemical deodoriser has been verified for this product.

How to use

Start with a clean, dry litter tray.

Add an even layer approximately 2.5 to 5 cm deep, or around 1 to 2 inches. The pellets are highly absorbent, so the tray does not need to be filled as deeply as it would be with some finer litter types.

Remove solid waste every day. Remove heavily saturated or broken-down pellets as required and add fresh litter to maintain a clean layer.

Empty and wash the entire tray regularly. How often a full change is required will depend on:

  • The number of cats using the tray
  • The size of the litter tray
  • Your cat’s toileting habits
  • How frequently wet litter is removed
  • The depth of litter used

Always maintain enough litter for your cat to dig and cover comfortably without overfilling the tray.

Changing from another litter

Cats can be sensitive to sudden changes in litter texture or smell.

When introducing wood pellets for the first time, gradually mix them with your cat’s existing litter over several days. Increase the proportion of wood pellets as your cat becomes comfortable using them.

Keep the tray in its usual location during the transition where possible.

Cleaning and care

Remove waste regularly to help keep the tray fresh and inviting.

When completing a full litter change, empty the used litter and wash the tray with warm water and a mild pet-safe cleaning product. Rinse thoroughly and allow the tray to dry completely before refilling.

Avoid heavily fragranced cleaning products, as strong unfamiliar smells may discourage some cats from using the tray.

Disposal guidance

Dispose of used litter and animal waste according to the instructions printed on the packaging and your local waste-collection rules.

Although the unused wood pellets are biodegradable, used cat litter may contain animal waste and should not automatically be placed in household compost or garden waste.

Do not flush the pellets or cat waste down the toilet.

Storage

Store the bag in a clean, dry place.

Keep it away from rain, damp floors and high humidity, as moisture may cause the pellets to swell or break down before use. Close or fold the bag securely after opening.

Keep the product away from children and prevent pets from chewing the packaging.
