Flamingo Matchball Aqua Floating Dog Toy with Rope

Make fetch even more exciting on land and in the water with the Flamingo Matchball Aqua. This soft floating ball features an attached rope, creating a versatile dog toy for supervised games of fetching, throwing, retrieving and gentle tug.

The ball is made from soft polyester and filled with lightweight polypropylene material, allowing it to remain afloat in water. Its contrasting black and yellow design makes it easier to spot during outdoor play, whether it is floating on the surface or lying on the ground.

The attached rope provides a convenient grip for throwing and retrieving the toy. It can help owners achieve longer throws without handling the wet ball directly and provides an additional section for dogs to carry during play.

Suitable for

The toy is suitable for dogs that enjoy:

  • Fetching and retrieving
  • Supervised swimming and water play
  • Carrying soft toys
  • Interactive owner-and-dog games
  • Gentle tug play

Always choose toys according to your dog’s mouth size, strength and play style. The 13 cm ball should be too large for the dog to swallow or fit entirely inside its mouth.

This toy may not be suitable for persistent or destructive chewers.

How to use

Hold the rope securely and throw the ball into a clear area on land or into safe, shallow water.

Allow your dog to retrieve the toy and return it before throwing it again. Begin with shorter throws until your dog is familiar with the toy and the play environment.

For tug games, keep movements controlled and avoid lifting or swinging your dog by the toy.

Water-play safety

Only use the toy in safe water where your dog can enter and leave easily.

Do not throw it into:

  • Fast-moving water
  • Areas with strong currents
  • Deep water beyond your dog’s swimming ability
  • Water containing sharp objects or heavy vegetation
  • Areas affected by harmful algae or pollution

Supervise your dog continuously around water and stop play if they appear tired, cold, distressed or unable to swim comfortably.

The toy floats, but it is not a flotation or life-saving device.

Cleaning and care

Rinse the toy with clean water after use in ponds, lakes, rivers, seawater or chlorinated water.

Remove dirt using a damp cloth and mild pet-safe cleaning product where required. Rinse thoroughly and allow the ball and rope to dry completely before storing.

Do not store the toy while wet, as trapped moisture may cause odours or damage the textile material.

Machine-washing and tumble-drying suitability have not been confirmed. Follow the instructions attached to the physical product.

Safety information

Supervise your dog whenever this toy is being used.

Inspect the ball, seams, rope and filling before and after every play session. Remove the toy immediately if:

  • The fabric becomes torn or punctured
  • Seams begin to open
  • The polypropylene filling becomes exposed
  • The rope becomes heavily frayed or detached
  • Loose fibres or pieces could be swallowed
  • The toy becomes small enough to present a choking risk

Do not allow your dog to swallow the fabric, rope or filling.
