Feeding guidance
Offer as a supplementary food alongside a varied wild-bird feeding routine.
Place a small quantity in a suitable mealworm feeder, on a bird table or in a clean feeding dish. The mealworms may also be mixed with seeds or other suitable wild-bird foods.
Only provide an amount that is likely to be eaten within the day. Remove any uneaten mealworms before dusk, particularly when feeding on or close to the ground.
During dry or warm weather, mealworms may be briefly soaked in clean water before feeding. Drain away excess water and only provide an amount that will be eaten promptly. Do not leave soaked mealworms in the feeder where they may spoil.
Always provide fresh, clean drinking water nearby.
Storage
Store the unopened pack in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, moisture and strong odours.
Reseal the packaging securely after opening where possible. Moisture can cause dried mealworms to spoil, so do not feed them if they become wet, mouldy, rancid or otherwise contaminated.
Keep the pack away from children and household pets.
