Arcadia Reptile ‘EarthMix’ tropical & forest substrate has been designed by experts to be the ultimate safe and effective ‘Bio-Active ready’ vivarium and terrarium substrate.
Containing the perfect blend of organic matter and volcanic rock to ensure the optimal balance of moisture retention and drainage for tropical and forest species.
EarthMix supports both natural plant growth and beneficial microfauna for those keepers who wish to keep their animals ‘Bio-Actively’ or ‘Naturalistically’.
Key Benefits
Build a planted habitat with a substrate designed to support both vegetation and a living clean-up crew. Suitable custodian species can be introduced from the first day of use.
Volcanic rock helps water drain through the substrate. Used alongside an appropriate drainage layer, EarthMix helps reduce stagnant conditions while retaining moisture for tropical and forest environments.
The naturalistic texture offers opportunities for digging and movement. Misting can be adjusted to the animal’s requirements, including concentrating moisture in one area to create a more humid retreat.
