The Holistic Hound Gnashers Probiotic Herbal Toothpaste for Dogs

Support your dog’s everyday oral hygiene with The Holistic Hound Gnashers, an all-natural probiotic and herbal toothpaste formulated specifically for dogs.

Gnashers combines coconut oil, bentonite clay, herbal extracts, peppermint essential oil and probiotics in an easy-to-use paste. The formula is designed to help maintain a healthy balance of bacteria in the mouth while supporting clean teeth, comfortable gums and fresher breath.

For the most effective daily cleaning routine, apply Gnashers to a suitable dog toothbrush or finger brush and gently clean along the teeth and gumline. Ingredient overview

Coconut Oil provides the smooth base of the toothpaste and helps the formula spread easily across the teeth and gums.

Bentonite Clay is a naturally occurring clay included as part of the toothpaste’s gentle cleansing formula.

Calendula Oil is traditionally used in herbal preparations developed to support delicate skin and tissues.

Baking Soda is included as a mild cleaning ingredient within the finished dog-safe formulation.

Grape Seed Extract is included as part of the product’s natural herbal blend.

Chicory Root provides a natural source of prebiotic fibre that complements the probiotic ingredients.

Goldenseal is traditionally included in herbal preparations intended to support a clean and balanced oral environment.

Peppermint Essential Oil provides the paste with its fresh aroma.

Probiotics are included to help maintain a balanced population of bacteria within the mouth.

Directions for use

Place a small amount of Gnashers onto a suitable dog toothbrush or finger brush.

Gently lift your dog’s lip and brush along the outside surfaces of the teeth and around the gumline using slow, controlled movements. Introduce brushing gradually and keep early sessions short and positive.

The manufacturer also advises that Gnashers may be:

  • Spread onto a suitable chew toy
  • Added to your dog’s food

Brushing provides an additional mechanical cleaning action, so it should be used where your dog comfortably accepts it.

Follow the directions printed on the physical product label. The manufacturer does not publish a specific measured serving online.

Introducing toothbrushing

Allow your dog to smell and taste a small amount of the paste before introducing the toothbrush.

Begin by gently touching the lips and gums for a few seconds. Gradually increase the duration as your dog becomes comfortable.

Never force the toothbrush into your dog’s mouth. Stop the session if your dog becomes frightened, distressed or attempts to bite.
