Ingredient overview

Garlic tincture is included in a carefully prepared liquid formula designed to alter the scent and flavour signals that fleas and ticks use when seeking a host.

Echinacea tincture is traditionally used to support the body’s normal immune response and general resilience.

Apple cider vinegar is included to support normal digestion and contribute to the product’s distinctive scent and flavour profile.

Vegetable glycerine provides the liquid base and helps make the supplement easy to mix with food.

Shake the bottle thoroughly before every use.

Begin using Hairy & Happy at least two weeks before the expected annual flea and tick season in your area.

Add the measured amount directly to your dog’s food every day.

First two weeks

Give 2ml per 10kg of body weight daily.

Ongoing seasonal amount

After the first two weeks, reduce to 1ml per 10kg of body weight daily and continue throughout the flea and tick season.

A 200ml bottle provides approximately four months of ongoing use for a 10kg dog after the initial two-week period.

The published dosage is based on a dog’s body weight.

The manufacturer describes the product as suitable for pets of all ages. However, because it contains garlic and species-specific dosing guidance has not been published for cats or other animals, seek advice from the manufacturer or a veterinary professional before using it with any species other than dogs.

Parasite-care guidance

Hairy & Happy is intended to provide complementary dietary support. It should not replace regular coat checks, prompt tick removal, environmental flea control or veterinary advice.

Check your dog regularly, paying particular attention to:

• Under the collar
• Between the toes
• Around the face and neck
• Under the legs
• Around the groin and tail
  

Speak with your veterinary professional about an appropriate parasite-control plan if your dog has a heavy infestation, regularly visits high-risk areas or has previously experienced parasite-related illness.

Use only according to the product directions.

Consult your veterinary professional before use if your dog:

• Is pregnant or lactating
• Is receiving prescribed or over-the-counter medication
• Has an existing health condition
• Has a known sensitivity to any ingredient
• Is due to undergo surgery or anaesthesia
