Small

The Small clipper is designed for dogs with soft to medium-strength claws. Its compact size provides additional control when working with smaller paws and finer nails.

Large

The Large clipper is designed for dogs with stronger, thicker or larger nails. Its longer handles provide more leverage when trimming nails that require a firmer cutting action.

Choose the clipper according to the thickness and strength of your dog’s nails rather than the dog’s overall body size alone.

The Small clipper is intended for soft to medium-strength claws. The Large clipper is more suitable for strong, thick or large dog nails.

These clippers are officially listed by Vadigran for dogs. Suitability for cats, rabbits or other animals has not been confirmed by the manufacturer.

Choose a quiet, well-lit area where your dog feels comfortable.

Hold one paw gently and separate the nail from the surrounding fur. Identify the pointed end of the nail and the inner quick, which contains blood vessels and nerves.

Position the clipper around only the end of the nail and remove a small section using one controlled movement. Trim gradually rather than attempting to remove a large amount at once.

For clear nails, the quick may be visible as a pink area inside the nail. Dark nails can make the quick difficult to see, so remove only very small sections and check the cut surface between each trim.

Some dogs may be more comfortable having only one or two nails trimmed during each session. Keep the experience calm and stop if your dog becomes distressed or repeatedly pulls the paw away.

Trim only the tip of the nail and avoid cutting into the quick.

Cutting the quick can cause pain and bleeding. If bleeding occurs, stop trimming and apply suitable pet-safe styptic powder according to its directions. Contact a veterinary professional if the bleeding does not stop promptly.

Seek advice from a veterinary professional or experienced groomer when:

• You cannot clearly identify where to cut
• Your dog has very dark, damaged or unusually shaped nails
• The nails are severely overgrown
• Your dog becomes highly distressed or aggressive
• You are not confident trimming the nails safely

Do not rely on a cutting guard to determine the correct nail length. A cutting guard or stopper has not been confirmed by Vadigran for these exact models.

Keep the clipper away from children and use it only for its intended grooming purpose.

Remove nail fragments from the blades after each use.

Wipe the metal cutting surfaces using a clean, slightly damp cloth or a suitable grooming-tool disinfectant. Dry the blades thoroughly before closing and storing the clipper.

Engage the safety lock when the clipper is not being used.

Store it in a clean, dry place. Replace the clipper if the blades become blunt, rusty, misaligned or damaged, or if the handles and locking mechanism become loose or cracked.
