Wild Bird Fat Ball
Provide visiting garden birds with a convenient source of energy using this individually sold wild-bird fat ball. Designed as a supplementary food for wild birds, it combines cereals, fats, minerals and seeds in an easy-to-serve ball.
Fat balls are particularly useful during colder weather, when birds require additional energy to maintain their body temperature. They can also be offered at other times of the year as part of a varied wild-bird feeding routine.

Composition
A blend of cereals, fats, minerals and seeds.
The exact ingredient percentages and full composition should be checked against the supplier’s outer case label before additional ingredient information is published.
Feeding guidance
Place the fat ball inside a suitable, secure fat-ball feeder.
If the fat ball is supplied in plastic netting, remove the net completely before placing it outside. Hanging fat balls in their original netting may create an entanglement risk for birds and other wildlife.
Position the feeder in a location that gives birds a clear view of their surroundings and keeps them away from places where cats or other predators could hide.
Only provide an amount likely to be eaten while fresh. Remove any food that becomes wet, mouldy, rancid, heavily soiled or contaminated.
Broken pieces can be placed inside a suitable feeder or on a clean bird table rather than discarded.
Always provide fresh, clean drinking water nearby.
Storage
Store unused fat balls in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, moisture and strong odours.
Keep them inside a sealed container where possible to prevent contamination and discourage rodents.
During very cold weather, store the fat balls indoors so they do not become excessively hard. During hot weather, keep them away from direct sunlight and heat, as the fat may soften or melt.
Safety information
This product is intended for wild birds and is not suitable for human consumption.
Keep unused fat balls and any packaging away from children and household pets.
Do not allow dogs or cats to eat the product. Remove and dispose of any plastic netting responsibly.
